Applications are invited for recruitment of following non-teaching posts in
Alagappa University Constituent college of Arts and Science, Paramakudi.

Total Vacancies: 17 Posts

a) A Post-Graduate degree in Public Administration (or) Business Administration
(MBA) with specialization in Finance with a maximum of 55% of marks.
b) A relaxation of 5% of marks shall be given to SC/ST & physically challenged.
c) Preference will be given to persons with experience for a period of not less than
three years in finance or administration matters in the Superintendent cadre or
its equivalent cadre in the institutions of higher learning.
d) AGE: should not have completed 45 years. For SC/ST and Physically
Challenged candidates, the maximum age limit is 50 years.
e) Should be familiar with using Computer.
f) The appointee shall pass the Account Test Part I and Part II for subordinate
officers within the period of his/her probation failing which his/her increment
will be postponed till he passes both the tests.

a) A first or second class Bachelor‟s Degree. ( preferable – 50% or B grade)
b) At least 4 years of regular service in the post of Assistant.
c) Knowledge of Tamil to the extent of carrying official correspondence and
drafting reports.
d) Should have completed 35 years.
e) Should be familiar with using Computer.

a) M.C.A./M.Sc.Computer Science/M.Sc (Information Technology) with first class.
b) Experience as Computer Operator for not less than two years.
c) Knowledge in Windows Server technology and server maintenance, Visual
Basic, Oracle & Web Tech. with 2 years experience.
d) AGE: should not have completed 35 years. Maximum age limit for BC/MBC is
40 years and for SC/ST and Differently abled is 45 years.

1. The candidates must be Indian nationals.
2. Candidates who satisfy the conditions prescribed to the satisfaction of the
University authorities should be prepared to appear before the University Staff
Selection Committee for interview at their own cost.
3. Candidates may be called for an interview as per the list prepared by the
Screening Committee appointed for this purpose and approved by the Vice-
Chancellor. The summoning of the candidate for interview merely indicates
that it is felt that he/she with others may be suitable for the post and conveys
no assurance whatsoever that he/she will be recommended or selected or
his/her conditions specified in the application will be accepted.
4. It will be open to the University not to fill up any of the posts now advertised.
5. Any attempt by the candidate, either directly or indirectly to influence the
Selection Committee or other authorities of the University will disqualify the
candidate for the post.
6. The service conditions and other terms of appointment shall be subject to the
approval of the Syndicate of the Alagappa University.
7. These appointments are exclusively for Alagappa University Constituent College
of Arts and Science, Paramakudi and there shall not be any claim of seniority
on par with the regular non-teaching staff of Alagappa University, Karaikudi.
8. Applicants from the candidates who are in service will be considered only if
forwarded through proper channel. In such cases, advance copies of
applications should be sent direct to the Registrar,Alagappa University,
Karaikudi 630 003 so as to avoid delay. Applicants, if required, should prepare
to come for an interview at Karaikukdi at their own cost.
9. The application form shall be filled in, complete in all respects, giving correct
information. Defective and incomplete applications and those with wrong or
false information will be rejected.
10. Persons who are already working in State or Central Government or any other
organization should send their applications through proper channel. Any delay
in sending the applications through proper channel is not the responsibility of
the University. Advance copies of the applications, reaching the Registrar,
Alagappa University, Karaikudi – 630 003 within the prescribed time limit shall
be entertained provided the original application forwarded through proper
channel reaches the Registrar before the candidates are called for interview or
the Screening Committee needs.
11. Candidates must give name and address of three persons in India to whom
references can be made. If he/she has been in employment he/she
should either give his/her present or most recent employer or immediate
superior, as a referee or submit a recent testimonial from him/her.
12. The candidates found eligible for the post applied will be shortlisted based on
their performance in the Written Test/Skill Test.
13. Evidence of Degree/Diploma Certificate and testimonials should be brought in
original at the time of interview.
14. Filled-in applications should reach the office of “The Registrar, Alagappa
University, Karaikudi 630 003” on or before 22.08.2015.
